I watched King Kong again today, and I think it’s my favorite movie so far this year. Andy Serkis’s ape stuff just rocks. Here’s hoping for more Skull Island dreams. Also, hey, I won last week’s Strip Fight with that Cow-Man comic. Hooray for you goofy people who like silly superhero jokes! I don’t care for superheroes myself. I just draw them for you.

I enjoyed King Kong more the second time I watched it. The film has the most amazing parallel structure (that’s my inner Creative Writing teacher speaking). It’s really two films–one on Skull Island and one on Manhattan island. Great stuff.
