Too Much Girl-Power? Heck No!
Well, things have gotten pretty out of control and then calmed back down, I think. For those of you just joining us, Jamie and I talked each other into doing some Batgirl drawings after seeing a killer design posted by Andi Watson, and it caught on like CRAZY. First Joel and Mollie, and pretty sooneverybody was drawing Batgirls! It was linked by The Great Curve, DRAWN!, The Beat, Scott McCloud, Boing-Boing, MeFi, and Newsarama, and the total count is nearing 700! We’ve even seen people signing up for LJ accounts JUST TO POST ONE.
Today’s Butterfly features Knight-Girl’s inspired by the Batgirl designs by myself, Andi Watson, JoelCarroll, Natasha Allegri, Clio Chiang, Mollie Krauss, Vera Brosgol, Bryan Lee O’Malley, Dean Haspiel, Chris Wright, Anne B., David Yoder, and Brian F.
My other fave drawings from this crazy Bat-Event:
Kean Soo, Jen Wang, Phil McAndrew, Raina Telgemeier, Bannister, Corey Lewis, Joey Weiser, Ryan Sias, Quezzie, Dan Hernandez, Andy Runton, Nicole Chartrand, Toddy Brundle, Hope Larson, John Campbell, Matt Bayne, Ashleigh F., Kitty Vane, Kyle Kershner, and Ed T.
Thanks to everybody who did one (and linked back to us, wow!), it has been a really good few days on the internet.

It was fun to be a part of this amazing and unexpected event.
Butterfly is inspiring me to work on my frequently abandoned superhero comic.
