Small talk: one of the many enjoyable storytelling devices from cop shows. Maybe they’ll get to talking about the nature of life as this mystery unfolds, just like the cops do on Homicide: Life on the Street! Or they’ll make a cheesey joke about someone’s death like they do on Law & Order! Or they’ll cap some thugs and steal their drugs like they do on The Shield! Or get sent back to the 70’s WHILE they’re stuck in a coma like the cop from Life on Mars!

Just kidding. Probably.

I’ve just been drawing and watching TV, as usual. My wife’s best friend since she was a little girl came up to visit this week, so it’s been fun having another friend in town. Speaking of friends, I’M GOING TO THE COMIC SHOP WITH MY FRIEND FROM SAVANNAH TODAY! OMG OMG OMG OMG! Well, I guess I better get some sleep so I’ll be at my best for nerdy reference jokes.
