Burger Night, Part 4.

I guess he was sprayed in the face with the radioactive remains of Walt Disney or something. Or maybe he was standing next to a statue of Big Boy (not to be confused with Big Boi) and got struck by lightning…

Anyway, thanks for all the great entries to the Alt. Butterfly contest. The full gallery is still in the works.

I saw Superman Returns this week, and I was incredibly pleased by how it was handled, especially with the kid, Butter-I MEAN Jason. Here’s something I drew for you folks who have both read Butterfly’s origin in Superior Showcase #1 AND seen Superman Returns:

I guess those of you that read this site because you know me in real life are probably wondering if I liked the movie. I did. I watched it twice just to be sure. I think Bryan Singer and his team did a great job, from the opening scene to the last. The story had the epic feel of comic book action, but maintained interesting interpersonal relationships and emotions. It had heart. I don’t know if everyone will enjoy this movie, but I don’t really mind. It was almost as if they had me in mind as the sole audience member. I can’t wait to see what they do with a sequel.

Anyway, have a good week. I’ll try to wrap up this Burger Night story (co-written with John Campbell) in a timely manner before moving on to the story with the Alt. Butterfly winners!
