A Busy Day of Comics and Tetris.

Whoa! Butterfly Returns, y’all. AND IN COLOR! Well, I finally got my computer back this week, and I’ve been working long nights catching up on work and stuff. I’ve been posting on my LiveJournal about six times a day I think.

Let’s see, in the last few weeks, the Draw Supergirl meme was an unqualified success, and has sparked even more discussion of the character and her costumes, including my me and my colleagues (internet pals?) over at Project: Rooftop. We’ve teamed up with Super.Girl. to present Supergirl Week, a major appreciation event exploring various representations of the character.

Also, a superhero I quite like has met an untimely and rather undignified end. It almost seems worth it to have heard Stephen Colbert mention Wakanda on television, but Cap’s death just doesn’t seem right. Paul Milligan had the good sense to start a much needed Draw Captain America meme over on his LiveJournal, which has already received entries from Mike Wieringo, Chip Zdarsky, and myself. Head over there and check out all the great Cap pics, and add your own!

And I took some pics of my new studio space, complete with my recently repaired (mostly) computer, a Vaio I call Krypto. Well, that’s all for now. See you back here in a week or two for the unveiling of the team’s new costumes!

I love that KnightBat is playing Tetris on his massive KnightMonitor. He’s too close to the screen though, he’ll go square-eyed.
I can’t wait a month to see the new costumes! Darned time!

[…] Butterfly is surrounded by the familiar trappings of the Batman mythos with a twist: the “loyal manservant,” the cavernous hideout with working computer, and those super-nifty utility belts. They encounter familiar looking friends and foes. And they do battle in the friendliest way possible. […]
