Here's last year's exercise! http://www.tencentticker.com/msgbrd/viewtopic.php?t=1255 I completely forgot that I did a two-panel format last time. I guess I was lazy this year...or maybe it's 'cause I've been drawing non-stop since December, and yesterday my hand needed the break.

Anyway, how poignant: my book SMILE is one year old, today! Happy bookaversary to me, I guess!

These are so great. Your style's gotten a lot more expressive since last year. Does it feel weird to look back at your concerns before Smile came out?

cheers on Smile! I went to get it for my little sister for Christmas, but she'd already read it and loved it which is great.

Simple days like this can be relaxing, and HCD is always a nice change of pace from other work being done.

I have such bad memories of not being able to get my pants off in the early 90s (when tapered cuffs were big) that I refuse to even try on any skinny leg jeans. Not that I think they'd look good on me anyhow.

Your panels in which you're working on comics makes me feel like I need to go finish the project I'd promised would be out in September!

These are great Raina!! I feel like we had a similar day: drawing, not leaving the house much, wearing a lot of pants because of winter.

Kevin; it's a little weird! Also I'm not sure if my style is more expressive, or if I'm just working faster and looser on these. Most of my thumbnails look something like this.

Chateau; I know, I can't believe fashion has come back around to what we wore in the 90s. Makes me feel OLD.
