I've been strapped for cash lately so I've been taking gigs of the Digital Webbing job postings. I feeli like I'm officially an art prostitute now. But I have to make myself go out and do it every day. It's like I have to be a pimp and a whore at the same time!
Whore Dean: Please, Pimp Dean, don't make me go out there tonight. I'm still sore from all that coloring I had to do last night!
Pimp Dean: Don't talk back to me, ho! Get out there and show off them inks o' yours.
Whore Dean: Please, daddy! I feel dirty and cheap! I thought you loved me! Come on, let's go home and I'll draw you a picture. Don't you want me to draw you a mini for SPX?
Pimp Dean: *SMACK* You shut your damn mouth! You gotta get me that cash, ho!
Whore Dean: *sob*
...
Okay, sorry about that. Haha.
The thing that gets me is that people actually post 'no-pay' gigs on here! Who responds to that!? It ain't like ho's is just out on the street cuz they really like sex.
I totally want to draw a bunch of pictures in Michael Turner's style and build a separate website for it. Then I can respond to post like this:
"looking for mike turner like artist to help develop a fantasy style comic. any and all charaters are welcome. the job is non-pay but 50/50 on all profits and costs"
AND COSTS! WHOO-HOO!! _________________ Dean Trippe | Project Rooftop |

Man, I wouldn't work for free, even if you PAID me.

I do the occasional free work, but I've gotten so freaking slow over the last few years I can't really afford the time for it any more. I used to be able to knock out 4 good pages a day, and now I struggle to finish one good one. I can still do 2 lousy pages a day, though. _________________ www.evilspacerobot.com
