Aw, dude. I love Pike Place Market.
RE: Whale-themed art -- I know. It seems like every Washingtonian artist has to make their stuff about orcas or salmon or grizzlies. Getting kinda boring, guys.

I feel like such a tourist whenever I go to Pike Place, or I get mad at tourists, but I should go more often. Those cookies are so good.

I kind of love paintings and sculptures of animals splashing around in water. But I know what you mean. It can get kind of Thomas Kinkade-y. I think this store might... donate to... the... environmental organizations, though? I don't know. I am doing a bad job of defending whale art.

I've just seen waaay to many of them. And yeah, I feel like a tourist when I'm in any shop that sells 'em or displays 'em.
