I can't give away the whole thing, but I thought I'd show some screenshots of the drawing board (um, Photoshop) for those of you who frequent the boards.
HOW DO KNIGHT-BAT AND BIRDIE KEEP THEIR COLORS SO BRIGHT?
I think I need to rework Knight-Bat's head in the first panel. _________________ Dean Trippe | Project Rooftop |

Yeah, I have been for about a month now I guess. Everything I've posted on my lj since the begining of December, I think, has been tablet-drawn. _________________ Dean Trippe | Project Rooftop |

Why is that?
I am always disappointed when I hear that about artists. _________________ TARTPOP - 1977 birthed a disaster. |

The switch to the tablet? I just good enough with it to where I prefered it to my regular ink work. It took me about a year to where I could draw with it with any real skill.
I guess the reason I've nearly completely switched is that it's considerably more stress free for me. I'm really tired of spending two hours drawing something and then another hour inking it and then not liking something and having to start over. _________________ Dean Trippe | Project Rooftop |

Yeah, tell it to my drum machine.
I'm just saying it's a letdown. Less impressive, I guess.
Not trying to slag, but I like vinyl records, wood guitars, tube amps, and comics drawn with ink. _________________ TARTPOP - 1977 birthed a disaster. |

While I prefer real ink, I think his style is streamline enough to justify "inking" with a tablet. That'd be like J Chris Campbell's stuff in a traditional media. I'm sure it would be fine, but it might look funny. You can't beat a tablet for speed, either. _________________ ihatejim.com |

Thanks, I agree with you. For me it's just a case of the right tool for the right stylistic choices. I'm happier with my work than I've been in months.
Speaking of ol' JCC + traditional media though, have you seen his COLLAGE PAINTINGS? Pretty cool. _________________ Dean Trippe | Project Rooftop |

Ooh, I do remember those and they are very cool. I wonder what a comic from him in THAT style would look like . . . _________________ ihatejim.com |

One of the biggest drawbacks in Photoshop using a tablet is that, and I may just be stupid, I can't figure out how to draw straight angled lines! The Shift key constrains it to 0 or 90 degrees but how do I get other angles? _________________ I think we all know the words! |

I guess you could just throw a ruler down on your tablet? |

Wow, thanks, John! I totally thought you'd like that! I'm going back through finishing up the pages now. Here's a shot of page one (minus the lettering):
