Pretty happy with this! It's a day late but here's part one. I have it all drawn but will finish digitising and colouring it tomorrow. I live in Japan, which should be at least mildly interesting, but I only left my apartment one time all day so it's actually shockingly dull. Sorry.
Going to the bar now kthxbye

If my limited experience of Japanese living is anything to go on, the shower heats it's own water with gas, but the washing machine uses only cold.
Also are you working as an ALT, and if you are how much did your initial setup cost? Vaguely considering doing it, but have no strong reasons to go XD (used to want to because I had a Japanese girlfriend, but not any more XD) |

mike is correct!
you have to crank the shower by hand to turn on the heat. it's ok, not really a problem. the washing machine sucks balls though.
yeah i'm an ALT with the JET programme, the initial setup costs were really minimal to be honest, but i don't have a car or anything and live in cheap-ass co-op housing... other people had to pay a lot more than I i read your comic, you should just go for it! it sure as hell beats being stuck in England at any rate! and you seem to be really into everything japanese.
thanks for your lovely comments folks! i'll try to finish part 2 by tonight. _________________ http://emhc.tumblr.com |

Ah right XD
I applied for JET twice, but failed
I was looking at an apparently "best of the rest" private ALT company that takes anybody (but hopefully isn't run by the missing finger brigade), and also recruits in the middle of the academic year. I have about 950,000 yen right now, and may be able to save 1.5m by August/Septemberish. Buut I think I'll stick to finding a better job here, antique book collections don't agree with the Japanese humidity... probably XD |
