Well, I said I'd do it and for better or for worse I did it. Though let me be the first to say doing an hourly comic on the day I start painting 214 hours worth of paintings was a pretty goofy idea. That's also why this hourly comic isn't as "detailed" as the other one. So. Much. Painting.
So yeah, that's how the first day of my 9 day painting marathon went. Not. Good. On a more positive note, I think the black/white watercolor looks a bit classier than the colored hodgepodge I did last time.
If you're curious about the experiment check it out here:

On that note, I'm getting some sleep so I can get back to work.

Sort of. While it didn't have instructions or anything, it looks like it was supposed to be a mini-watercolor paint kit (the shell breaks up into three piece with primary color "trays" inside..and the plastic fin is a really lame brush....I think.
The paint theory is all well and good....except that what's supposed to be paint seems to just be colored plastic. So it's a seashell octopus feather/fin that's a "mock" mini-watercolor set.
I think that's a long way of me saying: No, I haven't figured out what it's supposed to be yet.

Mock water colors????? As in 'not real'? How cruel and sadistic is that? Here you go, little boy. Pretend to paint. That's just terrible. |
