These are really nice. Superb standard of artwork all the way through, even without a pencil. _________________ Adam Cadwell

YESSS!! Loved it!
I laughed, I cried, I mopped the floor.
Actually I did laugh, and when your friend said it takes him a whole hour to do a comic, I laughed REALLY a lot. I can SOOO relate. You see what happens when I only have a couple minutes to sketch out a comic. Great fun though!! |

I too applaud the cheerios and beer!
I was "lucky" to be at work so I couldn't take too long with my drawings. Just now I picture everyone who participated, spending half their day drawing and the other half wondering what they are going to draw. |

I'm still not pleased with myself for forgetting the pencil. It made the real work I was doing harder too.

Yeah, Jon seriously spent all day doing the project, so he didn't do journal strips. He just did little general autobio stuff. They came out great, but I don't know if he'll post them here.

Thanks! I did a diary strip for like two years so I've had some practice.

Yeah, they just put out new audiobook editions of the whole series when the movie came out last year. They're all quite well done.

I would have liked it better if Jon hadn't drunk all the beers in the fridge so I had to have a warm one.

I was sort of at work, too. But I work for myself and I'm not very strict about what I do while I'm here. _________________ www.evilspacerobot.com

Thirded!
These comics only took you twenty minutes apiece? Man. They were taking me that long and I just have stick figures. You are a machine. |

| Man these look great Les! Can't believe you do these in twenty minutes, good stuff! I must say it's nice to know that someone else views cereal and beer as a routine meal option. |

I was actually thinking that yours were spectacularly detailed. I don't know how you got all that done in the time allowed. I figure I ought to draw myself a little bigger since I am a little bigger. I used to draw me too skinny anyhow.

Thank you! It was really all I had left. I'm one of those guys who pretty much survives on cereal, microwave hot dogs and takeout anyway, though.

I love these comics! It makes me smile that you're reading Louis L'Amour books. I think you are the only person I know besides my grandpa that reads L'Amour. I always assumed they were boring cowboy books but maybe not?
And dressing like a 12-year-old is fine. Long-sleeved t-shirt under a short-sleeved one is one of my favorite techniques in winter. I usually put a hoodie over them both, too. |

I dress pretty much the same way I did in college because I have most of the same clothes. I've never worked a job where I had to dress up so I never got out of the habit of dressing like a kid. Now I'm almost 30 and I'm starting to feel a little self-conscious about it.
As for Louis L'Amour, I just picked up a few of his books out of a "free" box outside a used bookstore, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed them. They're really great, fast-paced adventure stories for the most part. It's all part of my plan to become an old man before I'm 30, and I still have a few months. _________________ www.evilspacerobot.com
