This is absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed reading it. Especially rehearsal, and the sloth bear thing.
How much time did you spend on each one, if you don't mind me asking? |

So good, I always like reading the ones where the artist took the extra effort to color as well. _________________ http://www.radrobot.org |

Hooray Colleen!
Hooray for Halifax! And colour!
Is your hair getting long?
Hooray for Anne Marie Macdonald! (Manien and I once flipped out when she came in the Whole Foods in Toronto)
And I believe this is the second hourly comic I've seen to feature rocking out with the Talking Heads. Hooray! _________________ the Jason Turner Project |

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL work, Colleen. and I love what you're doing with the second color (reminds me of some of the challenges we had working on old 2nd Ed. D&D books where the editor was in charge of implementing the 2-color printing scheme). _________________ Stan!

Aw, thanks guys! I had forgotten how much more effort 3 panels/hour was than two...last year as a student it was a lot easier, so I felt really burnt out after doing these this year around work and rehearsal! Nevertheless it was a fun time.

Actually my boss made a joke about that, apparently referencing a Seinfeld episode I hadn't seen! She is going to buy me a glue stick especially for this mailout. Awww. There are like 500 envelopes.

Yes it is, Jason Turner! I have resolved not to cut it until I see a sign up for an art student looking for someone willing to cut off most of their hair for a performance art/film/photo project. Mainly this means I am too cheap to pay for a haircut and all of my hair-cutting friends live on the other side of the country from me.
Also that is awesome about Anne Marie MacDonald! And which is the other comic with the Talking Heads? I haven't come across it yet but I'd like to!

I used random watercolours I had lying around, just made a big pool of blue and threw it on, basically. It went a lot quicker than the drawing part, and was fun! I like colours.

Uhh...it's kind of hard to tell, since I don't think I ever sat down and did any by themselves without doing other things at the same time, but....maybe an average of 10 minutes? I'm kind of pulling that out of the air though. At the beginning of the day it felt like I'd finish one and the next hour would almost be upon me, but then again I really was watching cartoons more than drawing. _________________ littlefoible |
