Oh no! The Hourly Comic Day took my comic-drawing virginity.
Pardon my noobness.
I also don't have a scanner, so the quality sucks.

First 12 hours:

That's it! Thank you!

I like how you don't have a scanner but have digitalised the comic far better than people who do have scanners, but don't know to use them, could manage XD

Also do you really live on your own on a tiny island? that's cooool. Would make a good setting to tell adventure stories on :3

I was reading your comic and thinking "aww, this is lovely."

I then realized two other people had used that same word.

To break from the mold I will say that your comics are positively loverly.

Oh fantastic! I love the way you used the white, especially in the panels with the blank piece of paper. The look of this comic really suits its contents, I think.

Kuidas ma saan Keri saar?

Is that correct? That's the extent of my Estonian. Reading phrasebooks >_>.

This is really, really nice. And you seem to do well in the comic format, despite this being your first.

And wow, you live alone on Keri saar? I find that fascinating. Can you tell me what that's like? Also, can you tell me anything about Ants Laaneots? I've been in love with that name for that name for months. Ants Laaneots. Tanki Ants. Ants Laaneots.

ANTS LAANEOTS IT'S SO MUCH FUN TO SAY

Beautifully done! And it's doubly good because I have a weird fascination with Estonia and Finland, which I can't really explain.

Wow! Thank you a lot for the positive feedback!

I edited the first post and added rest of the day there, so it will be all nicely together.

To Ushanka:

If you wanted to say "How can I get to the Keri island?", it's "Kuidas ma saan Keri saarele?" (we have all those confusing cases changing word depending on what we want to say), but that's quite good.

I only know Ants Laaneots is the Commander-in-Chief of the Estonian Defence Forces. I have never met him. I don't usually hang out with old scary military dudes.
But my grandfather is also named Ants. And his last name is Kiik, which is pronounced like "geek". And one of the guys who visited me is named Peep, which is another totally normal Estonian name, that might seem slightly amusing for foreigners. Although "Ants" and "Peep" are not pronounced the same way as in English, sorry.

To HSioux:
Yes, that's the one.

And to everyone else asking about the island:

Yes, I have been living all by myself on a tiny island since November. It's actually not so fun. There's no other real contact with the mainland (I mean if not counting WiFi and the phone) besides my "landlord" Peep and the other guy, who owns the boat. I haven't seen my friends or left this tiny pile of rocks, I'm out of chocolate and it's very very cold. Standing still for so long is not so good.

I actually hoped it will be a normal busy day and I can document the usual things I have to deal with in here, like messing with the wind generators, getting water from the well, baking bread, chopping firewood for the sauna etc. Y'know... all those fun I-have-no-modern-amenities things. So I could show the comic to all the people who keep asking those silly questions, like: "How do you spend your time there?" as well.
But guests kind of mixed up my plans and after they left I was too tired to do something useful.

It was fun and thank you all for reading and commenting! You're so sweet. Smile

Ah... And work done in the end: 5%. Failure.

But I only have about a month left. And nothing interesting happens here and I'm too lazy to make something up.

I say: If something happens or I just feel like comicing seagulls, I'll post it in here, if that's okay?

Wow! Such fabulousness! Now that the internet has smelled ink in the water, we won't stop pestering you until you draw more.

Good luck getting anything done ever again.

This has such charm... It looks like it was drawn on ancient parchment or something!
Beautiful style.

I love the brown paper look, and yeah - I wouldn't know you don't have a scanner.

If you really wanted to document a normal day, I'm pretty sure there is no rule against doing hourly comics whenever you feel like it... I know I wouldn't complain.

I love this paper also.
Found some sheets few years ago in an old forest warden's house, we had to clean up for renovation. Have been keeping it for "special occasion" since then.

Love your comic! I love the paper you drew it on, and when you used white and orange. Great choices!
