Wow, this is so great! I love so many of these. It’s great seeing all these takes on her, after spending time trying to come up with my own. The places where people were thinking on similar wavelengths, and the places where people thought of something totally different and brilliant.
My favorites are probably Jemma Salume’s more playful version (in large part due to her style, I’d guess), Carly Monardo’s space-vampire (like someone out of Nihei’s BLAME! series), and my top fave is Joel Priddy’s incredibly fun version. I tried a ton of sketches of Vampirella in a skirt and none looked this awesome.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists. Yet again, great job. My design quite didn’t make the cut, but as usual, the competition was really stiff. Sad not to see a design by the amazing Daniel Krall on this list this time around. My personal favorites here are the designs by Giles Vrankx and Aman Chaudhary, but kudos to the winner, Ralph Niese.

As usual wonderful work. I saw a couple of these on deviantart and was like…yeah I’m gonna lose to those. Hey if you fun fun project rooftopian judges have a chance I’d love for you to send your crits of my design. It helps as a artist to get that kinda thing when it comes to designs. Oh and btw, I’ve started a rather large collection of project rooftop work on deviantart in my favs. Later!!!
