  1. Martian Manhunter, FOR THE WIN!!!!!! we all know why it works, so i won’t even bother saying why it’s awesome.

Aquaman wears too many clothes as it is, so this outfit is just ridiculous. Plus, where is the ocean, in the old west?

  2. Medri has a talent for reimagining these iconic figures in different era costumes. I’ve praised his work before, so we can set that aside already. Cool beans.

It makes me wonder what Medri could come up with if he reeeeeeealllly stretched his brain cells. Like inserting the JLA in a colonial Congress setting with Ben Franklin, or as a baseball team, or 70s disco dance band members. I’m not sure they could even be “men of action” in those situations, but it would be an interesting experiment to test Medri’s skills.

  3. Chris: Fair enough, on the water access, but it’s always bothered me that a guy that spends most of his time underwater wears leather gloves. I’m just saying, I wouldn’t want to have to come out of the water wearing those above the knee boots, that damned near burlap material shirt they had back then and those heavy pants.

The Dork of Steel: Nice one

  4. yeah, that Martian Manhunter is freaking phenomenal… unbelievably good. (and if he were less green, pretty much exactly what I picture the Judge looking like in Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian.)

  5. Not necessarily the “wild west” in terms of Deadwood or the Arizona Territory et al, but riverboat captain would be a perfect fit for Aquaman.
