SubscribeNote: I’m not normally one for superhero sculptures, but this one by Hot Toys and artist Ryan Meinerding of War Machine is something special. Done as part of the Iron Man 3 movie rollout, it’s a fantastic design which improves on the Iron Man 2 and also a fantastic sculpt. – Chris A.

/ February 8, 2013Hopefully this is the paint job the character sticks with in the movies. The Iron Patriot scheme is deliberately gaudy. But just because it’s deliberate doesn’t mean that I appreciate it.

/ February 11, 2013I don’t know if it improves on the last movie. I like the bulky look of the War Machine armor in Iron Man 2. Its a sick design though, especially the new lines on the faceplate. It’ll look great as Iron Patriot. Too bad no one thought to cut the arc reactor window into a star shape though, that would look much cooler than the painted star over that rectangular window.
