Marvel recently announced at that a new Ant-Man series from Nick Spencer and Ramon Rosanas will launch in January. With the news came a stunning new Scott Lang Ant-man design by powerhouse artist Chris Samnee. This redesign sparks heaps of anticipations and excitement for the character and the upcoming title. Dean had this to say:

“We’ve seen excellent Ant-man designs from Samnee before, including the attached process sketches from Hank Pym’s appearance in Samnee’s Thor: The Mighty Avenger series with Roger Langridge, but this new redesign for Scott Lang is even slicker.”

Below are two variant covers for the book by artists Jason Pearson and Mark Brooks. This series is sure to be something to look out for! –Patrick

  1. I noticed that there is a trend in superhero redesigns where a different color are on the sides of the suit as a way to replace the underwear on the outside look. It looked good on Wolverine and it looks good with Ant Man here.

  2. Hello! I just would like to give an enormous thumbs up for the wonderful information you have here on this post. I is going to be coming back to your weblog for more soon.

  3. Great design, except I don’t really get the knee plates.

Too bad Samnee won’t be drawing the actual series.

  4. I find it odd that the three artists have given three different versions (Samnee’s black outer segments, Pearson’s thick black dividers but single tone red, and Brook’s thin black divider and two tone red. I like the latter best but generally it’s a very cool new look. I hope we see an update on Pym soon. Something that say pulp action science hero. More like the Avengers AI look or even movie Starlord but with an Antman helmet on both

  5. Hang on I’ve just realised the suits are the same as only the legs and arms have outer black and torso is two tone. Hmm seems pretty cool then actually.
